Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand's Ministry of Labourhas kicked off its nationwide skill development programme for communityenterprises and low-income earners, which aims to strengthen the grassrootseconomy and raise the quality of life for the impoverished.
Labour Minister, Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew, inaugurated theprogram, which is a collaborative effort by the Department of Skill Developmentand community leaders to identify occupational demands by region and organiseskill training accordingly.
Training programs consist of 18 to 30 short sessions onspecific vocations, such as making furniture from car tires, resin and wood.The ministry aims to train over 61,000 people nationwide.-VNA
