Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Vocational students in Nakhon Si Thammarat havelaunched a service to fix electrical appliances in the aftermath of TropicalStorm Pabuk, while local people in Ban Na San District in Surat Thani areremoving fallen tree branches that are obstructing roads.

The military's Mobile Development Unit 46 in Surat Thani are removing 70 tonnesof tree branches trapped under a bridge in Ban Na San District.

Commander of Mobile Development Unit 46, Capt Nattakrit Sanpakaew said his unithas deployed backhoe and transport trucks to dispose of the branches to speedup the operation.

In Nakhon Si Thammarat, Governor Chamroen Thippayapongthada and the provincialvocational committee have launched a project called the "fix itcenter" where vocational schools in the 14 southern provinces provideservices to fix electrical appliances, cars, agricultural equipment, and thehomes of residents affected by the recent tropical storm. – NNT/VNA
