Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Vocational students in Nakhon Si Thammarat have launched a service to fix electrical appliances in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Pabuk, while local people in Ban Na San District in Surat Thani are removing fallen tree branches that are obstructing roads.
The military's Mobile Development Unit 46 in Surat Thani are removing 70 tonnes of tree branches trapped under a bridge in Ban Na San District.
Commander of Mobile Development Unit 46, Capt Nattakrit Sanpakaew said his unit has deployed backhoe and transport trucks to dispose of the branches to speed up the operation.
In Nakhon Si Thammarat, Governor Chamroen Thippayapongthada and the provincial vocational committee have launched a project called the "fix it center" where vocational schools in the 14 southern provinces provide services to fix electrical appliances, cars, agricultural equipment, and the homes of residents affected by the recent tropical storm. – NNT/VNA
