Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand's Ministry of Labour has confirmed that all One Stop Service (OSS) centres for the registration of migrant workers from neighbouring countries will close after March 31, 2018, while many employees have opted to enroll online.

The OSS Centre at the Ministry of Labour was crowded on March 30 with migrant workers from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar coming to register themselves as the centres across Thailand will open until March 31, 2018.

OSS centres in Thailand have been operating 24 hours a day this week to serve as many migrant workers as possible, with staff working to facilitate the process.

Labour Minister Adul Saengsingkaew said there will be no extension to the registration service provided at the OSS centres, but employers and unregistered migrant workers have the option to report themselves at any employment office, or enroll online. Unregistered workers and employers who may fail to do so within the deadline will be faced with penalties by law.-VNA
