Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand will host the 7th ASIAN Ministerial Energy Roundtable next month, featuring discussions between energy producers and consumers in Asia on present and future demand.
Thai Minister of Energy Gen Anantaporn Kantchanarat has announced that the meeting will be held on November 1-3. So far, 17 member countries have agreed to attend the event, including leaders from international organisations as well as Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The meeting will discuss factors affecting the Asian oil industry, as well as the shutting down of the pipeline in Turkey, new laws on the use of high quality oil in international maritime travel, and the increased trade in LNG gas. Other issues include incorporating technology in producing alternative energy such as solar power and electric cars.
In addition, the meeting will showcase a traditional Thai musical performance to welcome the international guests and promote Thai culture.-NNT/VNA
