At the meeting, Director of Asia/Pacific Office of HHS, Ms Erika Elvander, and CDC's Chief Medical Officer Mitchell Wolfe have had positive comments on Vietnam's capabilities in the fight against COVID-19.
"According to HHS, the government of Vietnam, from central to local level, has taken care and given out timely decisions as well as comprehensive and aggressive solutions to deal with COVID-19, especially in raising public awareness about the disease", the Embassy announced.
"Beside, Vietnam owns an overall good healthcare system that has widely established vaccinations and preventive measures against infectious diseases for a long time. So, the US officials believed that Vietnam will be able to deal with COVID-19 effectively"./.
