TheGovernment’s Decree 67, taking effect from August 25, provides a full,systematic and synchronous set of basic policies to encourage fishermenbuild high-capacity, iron-covered ships capable of fishing offshore, apractice that could earn fishermen higher incomes, and at the same timecontribute to protecting the country’s territorial waters.
TheMinistry of Agriculture and Rural Development has decided that as manyas 2,079 new off-shore fishing ships and 205 logistics ships will bebuilt under the Decree.-VNA
