Three laws were approved by the National Assembly on June 13, the 19th working day of the 14th NA’s 7th session.

– Three laws were approved by the National Assembly on June 13,the 19th working day of the 14th NA’s 7th session.

Theyare the Law on Tax Management (revised), the Law on Public Investment(revised), and the Law on Architecture.

During theday, lawmakers also debated the draft revised law on militia andself-defence forces, with opinions focusing on treatment for members of the militiaand self-defence forces, the authority to set up militia and self-defence unitsin enterprises, militia and self-defence units in non-State andforeign-invested enterprises, the age and duration for serving in militia andself-defence forces, among others.

NA ViceChairman Do Ba Ty required the law drafting and verifying agencies to study opinionsand refine the draft law to send it to NA deputies for further feedback before submittingthe draft to the NA for approval at the 8th session.

Thedraft revised law on securities was also tabled for discussion during the day,with most opinions agreeing to the need to revise the law to promote thedevelopment of the stock market, and create a more open, fair and transparentbusiness environment meeting international standards and practices.

Thedraft law will be further refined before being submitted to the NA for approvalat the 8th session.

TheNA is scheduled to pass several more laws and resolutions before closing the 7th session on June 14.-VNA
