Three cities in Vietnam have been presented with the ASEAN Clean Tourist Awards 2020.

Hanoi (VNA) – Three cities inVietnam have been presented with the ASEAN Clean Tourist Awards 2020.

They are Vung Tau city in the southernprovince of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Quy Nhon city in the central province of Binh Dinhand Hue city in Thua Thien-Hue central province.

The titles, which were part of the 2020 ASEANTourism Forum (ATF 2020), were announced at a ceremony held in Brunei onJanuary 16.

The recognition aimed to honour and populariselocalities boosting high quality tourism services in the region.

To earn the title, the cities need tosatisfy criteria on environmental management, cleanliness, waste management, awareness-buildingon environmental protection and cleanliness, green spaces, health safety, urbansafety for tourists and tourism infrastructure and facilities meeting standards.

In 2018, the three cities of Hue, Hoi Anand Da Lat were presented with the title./.

Da Nang ready to welcome over 456,000 visitors during Tet holiday

The central beach city of Da Nang is expected to receive over 456,000 visitors, of them more than 221,000 international, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday (from January 25 to February 2), a year-on-year rise of 13.5%, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.
