Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – The central province of Thua Thien-Hue will work with local enterprises to remove all business bottlenecks, said Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho on August 13.
The local authority will continue efforts to establish a streamlined and transparent business climate through carrying out a Government decree on improving the business environment and national competitive capacity and two other decrees on bettering the business environment and supporting business development.
The province hopes to have 6,800 newly-established businesses by the end of this year, up 15 percent from 2017. Total investment this year is expected to hit 13 trillion VND (559 million USD). Additionally, the locality eyes 920 million USD in export turnover in 2018.
Mobilising resources to support local firms, creating job opportunities and increasing labourers’ income are seen as key to realising the goals.
According to Tho, other solutions include encouraging innovation and startups, promoting value chains, developing human resources and enhancing management capacity for the private sector.
Infrastructure in key areas like industrial parks, Chan May-Lang Co economic zone, Hue city and Bach Ma eco-tourism has been developed to attract investment, he added.-VNA
