The new ambassadors of Spain, Iran, and the Philippines to Vietnam presented their credentials to Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on January 22.

Hanoi (VNA) – The new ambassadors ofSpain, Iran, and the Philippines to Vietnam presented their credentials toParty General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong at thePresidential Palace in Hanoi on January 22.

Following the presentation, the President hosteda reception for the ambassadors -  Mariadel Pilar Mendez Jimenez of Spain, Ali Akbar Nazari of Iran, and Meynardo LosBanos Montealegre of the Philippines.

Highly valuing the sound cooperation betweenVietnam and the countries, Trong expressed his belief that during their term,with the high sense of responsibility and warm sentiment towards Vietnam, thediplomats will excellently fulfill their duties so as to help further enhancetheir nations’ ties with Vietnam.

He also hoped that they will have goodimpression of the country and people of Vietnam during their stay here.

Informing his guests about the upcoming 13thNational Party Congress – a significant political event of the VietnameseParty, Sate, and people, Trong highlighted the ambassadors’ role in linkingVietnam with the countries and promoting international friends, partners, andcommunity’s cooperation with and support for Vietnam to achieve strategictargets of the new development period.

The Vietnamese State and Government will alwayscreate the best possible conditions for the ambassadors to perform their tasks,the leader affirmed, wishing Vietnam’s friendship and cooperation with Spain,Iran, and the Philippines will witness new strides in the future./.

452 lawmakers, or 94.56% of the total number of deputies present, voted in favour the revised Law on Corporate Income Tax, while the amended Excise Tax Law was adopted with 448 out of 454 deputies present voting in favour, accounting for 93.72% of the total.
