Traditional wedding rituals of Dao Tien people in Phu Tho

The traditional wedding ceremony of the Dao Tien ethnic group in Sung hamlet (Cao Son commune, Phu Tho province) is a distinctive cultural practice reflecting the community’s spiritual life and beliefs. For the Dao Tien people, marriage is not only a union between two individuals, but also a significant event connecting two families and clans. The long-standing tradition of monogamy and exogamy within the same ethnic group but outside the clan has been strictly maintained through generations.
