Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised internationaltravel agencies to think about the organisation of tours to Algeria and SriLanka due to safety reason.
In its document No.535/TCDL-LH, the VNAT warned that recent protests andstrikes that consecutively hit almost all cities in Algeria may lead to direconsequences, and conflicts in a worse-case scenario.
Travel companies should keep a close watch on local authorities’ warning, andget updated on political situation in Algeria to well prepare for their toursand ensure safety for their customers.

Following the series of deadly bombings in Sri Lanka on April 21 that killednearly 360 people and injured over 500 others, VNAT recommended travelcompanies to revise their tours to the country this time so to ensure safetyand security for their customers.
Travel agencies should recommend their customers to avoid crowded and sensitiveareas and keep themselves up to any warning issued by local agencies whiletraveling to the country this time, VNAT said in its documentNo.547/TCDL-LH.-VNA
