Hanoi (VNA) – Many travel agencies, such as Hanoi Redtour and Saigontourist,have unveiled their promotion programmes designed for the upcoming VietnamInternational Travel Mart 2017 (VITM 2017), which is scheduled to take place inHanoi between April 6 and 9.

HanoiRedtour deputy general director Nguyen Cong Hoan said the company plans tooffer discounts on tours on longer routes besides those to popular destinations,in a bid to enable customers to access these high-end services at affordableprices.    

Saigontourist,meanwhile, will offer gifts and coupons worth up to 5 billion VND (220,000 USD)at their stall and introduce a new tour to discover the film set of “Kong:Skull Island” in Ninh Binh and Ha Long.

Vietravelannounced that it will present 40 summer and autumn tours, with discounts of upto 35 percent for domestic trips and 20 million VND (880 USD) for tours to overseasdestinations.

Organisersof the VITM said there will be more than 150,000 low-cost air tickets and15,000 package tours at good prices at the fair.

TheVITM 2017, the fifth of its kind, will feature 450 booths from 652 tourism companiesand promotion agencies. The event is expected to welcome about 60,000 visitors.

Aspart of the event, an international street food festival will also be held,while the Vietnam National Tourism Association willofficially inaugurate a centre for Vietnamese cuisine study, preservation anddevelopment on April 7.-VNA
