TripAdvisor names Vietnam among world’s top destinations

Vietnam has been ranked one of the 10 best places to visit by the world’s most popular travel guide, TripAdvisor.

HCM City (VNA) - Vietnam hasbeen ranked one of the 10 best places to visit by the world’s most populartravel guide, TripAdvisor.

Iceland tops the list, followed byGreece, Mexico, Portugal and Morocco. Vietnam, which was named among theworld’s 20 fastest growing travel destinations in 2016, has overtaken itsneighbour Thailand for the first time. Thailand came in 9th, three placesbehind Vietnam.

Foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnamin January-May skyrocketed by 27.6 percent year-on-year to more than 6.71million, according to figures from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.

Vietnam is loved by both local andforeign visitors for its natural beauty, cheap prices, vibrant nightlife andmemorable travel experiences.

In April, TripAdvisor’s readers hadalso voted An Bang beach in Hoi An, the central province of Quang Nam, as oneof the 25 most picturesque beaches in Asia for a third year in a row.

Vietnam tourism promoted at Canadian travel, vacation show

Do Ha Thao, Secretary in charge of cultural affairs at the embassy, said that visitors show great interest in the Vietnamese booth, asking for information about tours and promotional programmes. Some of the visitors had previously been to Vietnam and wish to return.

Binh Thuan province remains tourist magnet

In the first three months, the province welcomed 2.6 million visitors, including 152,000 foreigners, up nearly 14% and 17% year-on-year, respectively. Tourism revenue surpassed 7 trillion VND, marking a year-on-year rise of 16%.

Hanoi showcases cultural heritage at int’l travel mart

Hanoi is popularising its cultural heritage sites, and transforming historical, architectural, religious, and cultural monuments into distinctive tourism products. Featured attractions include the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Co Loa Ancient Citadel, and the Temple of Literature.

Vietnam in’l travel mart 2025 opens in Hanoi

This year’s event features over 450 booths from more than 600 organisations and businesses, including participants from 56 Vietnamese provinces and cities and 16 countries and territories. Green tourism remains a key focus, with exhibitors showcasing eco-friendly products and experiences.

Hai Duong’s tourist arrivals surge during holiday

The northern province of Hai Duong saw a sharp increase in the number of tourist arrivals to its scenic spots and historical relic sites during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday from April 5-7.
