The Na Hang Nature Reserve, covering over 21,600 hectares, is home to diverse flora and fauna, including many rare and endemic species, listed in the Vietnam Red Book and the World Red Book. They include the snub-nosed monkey, the white-rumped vulture, the jewel orchid, and others. The Reserve has become a priority zone for biodiversity conservation in Vietnam and the world.
To protect its biodiversity and rare animals, Tuyen Quang province has managed and safeguarded natural resources, strictly prohibited the hunting of wild animals, and rehabilitated forests.
Tuyen Quang has also strengthened law enforcement, educating the public on strictly adhering to legal regulations on biodiversity conservation, and the protection of rare and wild animals. This includes no hunting, capturing, buying, selling, transporting, slaughtering, consuming, or storing of wild animals.
Tuyen Quang province now has three special-use forests covering a total area of over 40,300 hectares, housing nearly 1,500 diverse species of flora and fauna. The effective protection of forest areas and the genetic resources of rare plants and animals has contributed to ecosystem conservation, and promoted the goal of sustainable tourism development in the province./.
