Tuyen Quang (VNA) – The northern mountainousprovince of Tuyen Quang will disburse 2 billion VND (88,000 USD) to move 95households living in landslide-prone areas to safe places before the rainyseason comes.
The relocation of the households aims to minimise damagescaused by natural disasters and contribute to the province’s efforts to reducepoverty, protect the environment and ensure security and defence.
The resettled families include 13 households in Lam Binh district, 20in Na Hang district, 21 in Chiem Hoa district, 16 in Ham Yen district, 13 inYen Son district, 7 in Son Duong district and 5 in Tuyen Quang city.
A total of 18 households in Lam Binh, Ham Yen, Yen Son and Na Hang havebeen relocated to date.
The province requested the city and districts to review and determinethe levels of financial support for households to be evacuated and provide themnew jobs to soon return to normal life.-VNA
