Hanoi (VNA) - Two people were killed and four others wounded in a grenade attack on a mosque in early morning of January 30 in Zamboanga city, southern the Philippines.

Two unidentified men lobbed a grenade at the mosque, according to police.

Most of the victims are from Basilan province and surrounding areas.

No groups have claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack came just two days after twin blasts rocked a Roman Catholic cathedral on Jolo island, west of Zamboanga, and left at least 20 dead and over 100 injured. - VNA
