Hanoi (VNA) – The national U23 team will play friendly matches in preparation for the Asian championship in Qatar next January.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has invited Japanese JFL Selection FC to play two matches behind closed-doors at My Dinh Stadium on December 12 and 14.
Coach Toshyia Miura has highly recommended the club who have participated in tournaments in Southeast Asia.
Recently they defeated the Lao national team 3-0, U23 Myanmar 3-0 and drew with the Cambodian national team 2-2.
Later, Cezero Osaka FC, also from Japan, will arrive and face off against the U23s on December 17.
The club are competing at the J.League 2 and are ranked ninth in Asia's club rankings by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
The U23s will be summoned for training on December 1 in Hanoi.-VNA
