Unique programme explores Hanoi's past

The life of Hanoi residents during the subsidy period in the ‘60s and ‘70s is recreated at the Music Garden space at the Hanoi Opera House. These activities are part of the "Hanoi - Touching the Memory" programme, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

In this space, visitors can take a step back in time with models of old trams, bicycles popular in the ‘60s, black-and-white TVs, vintage fans, furniture, and more.

There is also a 'market' offering delicious Hanoi treats, such as Lang Vong green sticky rice, Thanh Tri steamed rice rolls, traditional bánh chả, and especially a green tea stall with bamboo and clay smoking pipes.

Visitors can also participate in traditional children's games, such as sack racing, skipping rope, and stone game, along with enjoying live music performances.

The programme runs until October 31, 2024. Visitors can purchase tickets at the Hanoi Opera House entrance at 50,000 VND per ticket./.
