The Hanoi Opera House project, located on the Quang An area, Tay Ho ward has just been honoured at the 2025 Bui Xuan Phai – For the Love of Hanoi Awards. The development, invested by Sun Group and designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, is expected to become a new cultural and artistic symbol of Hanoi in the new era.
The opera house will include two main auditoriums: a 1,797-seat opera hall and a versatile multi-purpose hall with 1,430 standing places and 216 balcony seats, suitable for concerts, live shows, and large-scale events. Other spaces include rehearsal rooms, a museum, viewing terraces, and an expansive main foyer.
The “Bui Xuan Phai: For the Love of Hanoi” Awards were launched in 2008 by "The thao va Van hoa" and the family of painter Bui Xuan Phai (1920 - 1988), who is renowned for his paintings of Hanoi.
