The forest protection department of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang released two reticulated pythons back to nature at the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve in Phung Hiep district on August 14.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 15 offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at a temple in Luong Tam commune, Long My district in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang, and inspected the Lung Ngoc Hoang Natural Reserve in Phuc Hiep district.
Covering nearly 3,000 hectares, the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang is home to over 500 species of flora and fauna, including many that are listed in the Vietnam Red Book as being endangered. The area also holds significant potential for eco-tourism development.
