Lieut.Gen. Vinh hailed the US Assistant Secretary of State’s visit toVietnam and the results of cooperation in defence between Vietnam andthe US .

Lieut. Gen. Vinh affirmed Vietnam’s standpoint onsupporting nonproliferation of WMD and said the initiative to combatproliferation was a noble ideal aimed at bringing peace and benefitingVietnam and Vietnam-US relations./.
