US magazine launches Vietnam edition

The Cosmopolitan, the world's largest-selling magazine for young women, launched in Vietnam on March 15 with the April 2010 issue.

Cosmopolitan Vietnam will be published in partnership with Vietnamesepublisher Sun Flower Media, supported by the Hanoi Media Association.

The Cosmo parent Hearst Magazines International (HMI) said in its pressrelease. Cosmopolitan Vietnam will initially be distributed in Ho ChiMinh City and Hanoi and will target 20 to 35-year-old working urbanfemales. While its overall theme and spirit will mirror the Americanflagship, with editorial topics including relationships, fashion,beauty, health and career, the magazine will also include local contentunique to the Vietnamese way of life.

HMI President and CEO Duncan Edwards said: "We are pleased to bebringing Cosmopolitan to women in Vietnam . The magazine translatesexceptionally well with women around the world and we're confident thatCosmopolitan Vietnam will resonate with these readers as well."

The magazine will initially comprise 180 pages and an initial print run of 20,000 copies, with a cover price of 29.800 VND./.

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
