Two US non-governmental organisations have handed over the first five houses to families in Hiep Duc district of the disaster-prone central province of Quang Nam.

The construction of the solid roof houses, each worth more than 40 million VND, is funded by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Vietnam and Habitat for Humanity Vietnam.

At present, Habitat for Humanity Vietnam is carrying out a new project in Quang Nam province, under which the organisation will provide non-refundable aid and loans to help 199 low-income families to build and repair their houses./.
