A number of judges from the US Federal Courts will pay a working visit to Vietnam in September to enhance mutual understanding on judicial matters between the two countries, stated US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Talking with the press in Hanoi on August 11, the justice said that the foundation for the Vietnam-US ties is the people-to-people relationship.
She said she believes that more exchanges will be organised in the time ahead, not only between people, but also between businesses, students and high-level government delegations.
She also expressed hope that the Vietnam-US ties will develop more sustainably in the future.
Earlier, in her meeting with Chief Judge of the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh, the two sides agreed to increase cooperation activities in order to raise the transparency of judging activities.-VNA
