Venezuelan Independence Day marked in Hanoi

The celebration is an opportunity to honour the value of humanity, to confirm the right of all people to self-determination and encourage the spirit of international solidarity in defiance during times of challenge, said Venezuelan Embassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui.

The organisation of the festival activities in commemoration of the great national days of Venezuela and Vietnam reflects the profound friendship between the two nations for peace, prosperity and socialism.

For his part, General Director of the radio Voice of Vietnam and also President of the Vietnam-Venezuela Friendship Association, Vu Van Hien expressed delight at new developments in multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, especially in economics.

The two sides are working on many multi-billion-USD investment projects, he added.

Earlier in the morning of the same day, a Venezuelan Embassy delegation laid wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and the statue of King Ly Thai To./.
