President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan received a visiting delegation from the Singaporean People’s Association led by its chief executive director Ang Hak Seng in Hanoi on October 30.
The VFF President, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, said the friendship between the two countries has served as a strong foundation for the cooperation in many areas, including between their mass organizations and trade unions.
He suggested that the VFF and the Singaporean People’s Association increase delegation exchanges and share experiences in building cultural life at residential areas, environmental protection, and protecting the rights of labourers working in industrial parks.
Ang Hak Seng briefed his host on the outcomes of talks between his delegation with the VFF Central Committee.
The two sides held frank discussions on ways for building new rural area and civilised urban area.-VNA
