Vice President pays working visit to Ba Ria-Vung Tau province

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on June 13 visited a centre for social work and children protection in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and met with the command of the border post at Ba Ria – Vung Tau port.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau (VNA) – Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on June 13 visited a centre for social work and children protection in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and met with the command of the border post at Ba Ria – Vung Tau port.

At the Ba Ria-Vung Tau centre for social work and children protection, Xuan, who is chairwoman of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) Sponsorship Council, talked to and gave gifts to the centre’s staff and children who are being cared for at the facility.

With two facilities in the province, the centre provides education and vocational training for orphans, children with disabilities, and the elderly.

Meeting with the command of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau port border post, Xuan praised the performance of the border guards over the past time.

The Ba Ria-Vung Tau port border station is assigned to oversee and ensure security and order for 61 wharves at two seaport border gates - Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Dong Nai, along with ten offshore non-dock oil export ports offshore.

According to the station's command, officers and soldiers at the border gate have closely coordinated with agencies in the localities to ensure political security, social security and order in the area./.
