Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan received a visiting delegation fromthe Presidential Office of Laos, led by its vice director CharyingVang, in Hanoi on August 4.
Doan hailed theLao delegation’s visit, saying it was significant and reflected thespecial solidarity and traditional friendship between the two countries.
She congratulated Laos on its recentachievements, especially its economic growth rate of 6.5 percent in thefirst half of this year despite the impacts of the global economicdownturn.
The two countries’ relationship has seen fine development in all-round cooperation, she said.
Charying Vang said that he was delighted to meet with Vietnam ’sPresidential Office to step up cooperation between the two sides.
The special solidarity shown between Vietnam and Laos isvaluable for both nations and needs to be maintained, he said.
