Vietnam Airlines inaugurates new catering facility at Noi Bai airport

The Noi Bai Catering Service JSC (NCS), a member of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, has inaugurated a new food processing centre at the Noi Bai International Airport.

Hanoi (VNA) –
The Noi Bai CateringService JSC (NCS), a member of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, hasinaugurated a new food processing centre at the Noi Bai International Airport.

The facility covers over 21,000 square metreswith three storeys and one basement, which has a capacity of providing 35,000portions per day, 3.5 times higher than that of the old one.

It was designed by IO Consultants, which haspartnered with the world’s leading catering companies such as Cathay PacificCatering Services, Emirates Flight Catering and LSG Sky Chefs.

To meet the increasing demand and stringentstandards of the catering market, the facility is equipped with advancedtechnology and equipment, meeting requirements on food hygiene and safetystandards set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). 

Most of the equipment for the kitchen, bakery,refrigeration and food storage was imported from prestigious brandsspecialising in aviation food processing in Germany, Italy, Switzerland andFrance.

NCS provides portions for more than 25 domesticand international airlines, including the standard airlines of All NipponAirways, Asiana Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and JapanAirlines. 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietnamAirlines Pham Ngoc Minh said NCS has made active contributions to providinginternational standard meals and introducing Vietnamese food to millions ofpassengers worldwide.-VNA

Remains of Vietnamese fallen soldiers, experts repatriated from Laos

The remains of 12 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts, who laid down their lives in different periods in Laos’ Savannakhet province, were repatriated following a handover ceremony on May 21. They will be re-buried at the Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery in Vietnam's central province of Quang Tri on May 22.

Nghe An reburies martyrs' remains repatriated from Laos

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phung Thanh Vinh said that carrying a noble international duty, many Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts heroically joined Lao people in their struggle for national liberation and independence. Many of them sacrificed their lives in the country, including more than 12,000 soldiers laying down in the three provinces of Xaysomboun, Vientiane, and Xiangkhouang.

19 localities eradicate substandard houses
