Hanoi (VNA) – The first flight of thenational-flag carrier Vietnam Airlines from the central city of Da Nang toJapan’s Osaka city was launched on October 28.
The flight coded VN336, using Airbus A321, lasted four and ahalf hours, according to the carrier.
Vietnam Airlines said it operates seven flights per week,with services meeting four-star standards on the route. The flights depart at 00:20 from DaNang and 9:30 from Osaka.
This is the 11thair route to Japan Vietnam Airlines has offered, along with those from Hanoi,Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
Vietnam Airlines is currently the largestcarrier amongst those operating routes between Vietnamand Japan,with 70 flights per week on average.
Since the first direct flight on theVietnam-Japan route took off in 1994, Vietnam Airlines has carried 11.3 millionpassengers between the two countries, accounting for 65 percent of the marketshare.
The number ofJapanese tourists to Da Nang increased more than 18 times in 2017 as comparedwith 2011.–VNA
