Vietnam Airlines, SeABank sign 2-trillion-VND credit contract

The Vietnam Airlines Corporation and the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) have signed a credit contract worth 2 trillion VND (87.24 million USD), part of which will be disbursed by the bank in early July.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Airlines Corporation and the Southeast Asia CommercialJoint Stock Bank (SeABank) have signed a credit contract worth 2 trillionVND (87.24 million USD), part of which will be disbursed by the bank in early July.

The credit package aims to help Vietnam Airlines maintain production and business activities amid difficultiesdue to COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, Vietnam Airlines, SeABank and BRG Group have alsosigned an agreement on strategic partnership for common development in manyareas and giving better experiences to customers.

Chairman of Vietnam Airlines Dang Ngoc Hoa said that the BRG Groupand SeABank are large-scale organisations with strong financial capacitythat are serving dozens of millions of customers at home and around the world.

The partnership will make BRG and SeABank large partners ofVietnam Airlines in many areas, he said, adding that the soft loan will help VietnamAirlines settle difficulties posed by COVID-19, recovering its operations andcontributing to the country’s socio-economic development.

SeABank General Director Le Thu Thuy said that thestrategic partnership among SeABank, BRG and Vietnam Airlines will createchances for customers to benefit from optimal services thanks to thecombination of leading firms in aviation, hotel-resort, retail, and bankingfinance./.
