The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will launch a direct air route between central Da Nang city and the Republic of Korea (RoK) city of Incheon on July 1.
Chief Representative of the carrier’s RoK branch Cao Anh Son announced the plan in Seoul on May 30 on the sidelines of the 26 th Korean World Tourism Forum (KWTF).
Using Airbus A321, the carrier will provide three two-way direct flights on the route on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
According to Son, this is one of the carrier’s efforts in meeting travel demand of the two countries’ passengers.
Last year, Vietnam Airlines’ RoK branch catered for 640,000 passengers travelling between the two countries, accounting for 20 percent of the carrier’s international passengers and up 6 percent from 2011, Son noted.
