Besides the need to import agricultural products, solarpanels, auto parts, footwear, powdered milk, and fabrics from Vietnam, Algerianbusinesses showed their hope to export dates, olive oil, flavourings, chickenfeet, lobsters, sea cucumbers.
They also called for Vietnamese businesses to cooperate andinvest in Algeria in poultry farming, aquaculture, and construction.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Trade Office also invitedAlgerian firms to visit a booth introducing Vietnamese goods at the 54thAlgiers International Fair (FIA 54) scheduled to be held from June 20-25 at theExhibition Palace Pins Maritimes, as well as participating in the VietnamInternational Sourcing 2023 to be organised by the Ministry of Industry andTrade from September 13-15 in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to data of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first fivemonths of 2023, two-way trade reached about 116 million USD, up more than 80% year-on-year./.
