Vietnam attends international tourism fair in France

On September 17, the International Tourism Fair and Travel IFTM Top Resa 2024 opened at the International Exhibition and Trade Center in Versailles, Paris. This event is one of the largest professional tourism fairs globally, marking Vietnam’s significant return with a dedicated booth featuring the Vietnam Cultural and Tourism Association in Europe, Vietnam Airlines, the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, and ten Vietnamese businesses operating in the French market.

Located prominently in the Asia-Pacific section, Vietnam's booth was decorated in a traditional style, complemented by captivating cultural performances from domestic artists, attracting many French and international visitors.

After a period of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam booth provided comprehensive information on tourism development, introduced destinations, and promoted a rich variety of products and investment opportunities in Vietnam.

Experienced businesses actively sought partnerships, signing memoranda of understanding and contracts for customer exchanges with international clients.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang expressed confidence that the participation of Vietnamese businesses at Top Resa 2024 will garner significant interest from partners.

He highlighted that this event will facilitate new relationships between Vietnamese and French companies, enhancing Vietnam’s tourism sector and attracting more international tourists.

Top Resa, held annually in Paris in late September, attracted over 1,600 brands from various countries and territories this year.

The fair not only served as a platform for professional exchange, information updates, and contract signings among global tourism stakeholders but also included workshops on key themes such as sustainability, digitalisation, and inclusivity in tourism./.
