Meeting with Vice Governor of Guizhou province Lu Yongzheng, Khoi said that as theprovince and Vietnamese localities share various similarities in developmentcapacity and boast huge cooperation potential, they should work together inagricultural trade, transport connection, logistics, tourism and education, aswell as exchange experience in poverty alleviation.

This is significant to contributing to the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategiccooperative partnership, the diplomat said.

Lu, for his part, affirmed Guizhou attaches much importance to cooperating withVietnamese localities although they share no borderline, stressing this is acore in its external economic relations policy.

He suggested both sidesmaintain exchanges of delegations at all levels, expand investment andaccelerate collaboration in culture, tourism and education. Also, he hoped thatVietnamese authorities will create favourable conditions for Guizhou companiesto run their business in the Southeast Asian country, including Guizhou Tyrecompany in Tien Giang province.

Besides, he said that Guizhou stands ready to share experience with Vietnam ineconomic development in tandem with environmental protection and sustainablepoverty alleviation.

In a meeting with Lu Xinshe, Party Secretary of the Zhuang Autonomous Region onMay 27, Ambassador Khoi spoke highly of the locality’s contributions to theVietnam-China friendship and cooperation, hoping that Guangxi will join handswith Vietnam to organise the celebration of the 70th anniversary ofthe diplomatic ties in 2020, and promote cooperation mechanisms to deepencooperation with Vietnamese border provinces.

He asked Guangxi to facilitate customs clearance for Vietnamese products,particularly farm produce, and coordinate with Vietnamese localities to carryout three legal documents on border and build a borderline of peace,friendship, cooperation and development.

Lu said that as both sides hold huge potential for cooperation, they shouldwork more to enhance trade and logistics ties and promote people-to-peopleexchanges.

Guangxi will closely work with Vietnam to organise activities in celebration ofthe anniversary of diplomatic relations next year, he said, adding that it willhelp further the Vietnam-China strategic cooperative relations.-VNA

Vietnam, Belgium boost parliamentary cooperation, deepen bilateral relations

Nghia described the ongoing 500-day campaign as a sacred mission that embodies the Vietnamese tradition of remembering those who served and sacrificed for the nation. PM calls for building elite, professional international search and rescue force

During its mission from June 29 to July 7, the team worked around the clock under extremely hazardous conditions amid heavily damaged and contaminated disaster zones. Despite the challenges, rescue personnel recovered 57 victims' bodies and handed them over to local authorities and families. They also identified and reported several suspected locations where additional victims might be trapped.
