Vietnam bagged two gold medals at the 2015 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) held in China, announced the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on May 9.
The gold medals belonged to Vu Thanh Trung Nam, twelfth grader at the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted in Hanoi and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, twelfth grader at the Phan Boi Chau Gifted High School in the central province of Nghe An.
The Vietnamese team was also awarded three silver and one bronze medals and two certificates of merit.
The Vietnamese students will arrive back in Vietnam on May 11.
Last year, Vietnam brought home one gold, four silver and two bronze medals at the 2014 APhO held in Singapore.-VNA
