The ongoing state visit by Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev to Vietnam is a significant political and social event that manifests the strong traditional friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria, according to Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan .
In a meeting with the Bulgarian leader in Hanoi on October 29, she declared that the relationship between the nations has been nurtured and promoted by leaders of both sides over the past 60 years and will continue to thrive in the future.
President Plevneliev expressed his pleasure at the many great achievements Vietnam has made in the national construction and socio-economic development, adding that their strong ties will help move bilateral cooperation forwards for the mutual benefit of both nations.
The two met with former Vietnamese students in Bulgaria and enjoyed an art performance by Bulgarian artists on the same day.
