Authorities from north-easternCambodian provinces paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of Vietnam’s neighbouring Binh Phuoc province on February 9 for the Lunar NewYear festival.
Provincial People’s CommitteeChairman Truong Tan Thieu said Vietnam and Cambodia , especially BinhPhuoc and Cambodian border provinces, have enjoyed a long-standingrelationship from the struggle for national salvation to economicconstruction.
“Binh Phuoc province has paid special attention to friendship andsolidarity with north-eastern provinces of Cambodia in all fields,politically, economically, culturally and socially,” said theprovincial leader.
Thieu expressed thanks to Cambodian border provinces for theirassistance in locating and repatriating remains of Vietnamese soldiersand experts who died in the Cambodian soil during the war.
The neighbouring provinces have also provided favourable conditions forVietnamese investors to operate efficiently in Cambodia , thuscontributing to various fields in the Angkor Wat country.
Authorities from Mundulkiri, Karatie, Kompongthom, Kompongcham andStung Treng provinces expressed interest in further developingrelations with Binh Phuoc province./.
