Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese and Cambodian naval forces have conducted their 46th joint annual joint patrol. During the patrol, the two sides coordinated in preventing illegal activities in the joint patrol maritime areas as well as marine environment protection.
They collaborated in sharing information, combating smuggling, drug transportation and illegal migration, preventing weapon and explosives trading, raiding pirates and conducting rescue activities at sea.
The two sides also exercised in checking strange vessels, using signals of hand flags and light, as well as organising exchange activities at sea.
The success of the joint patrol has contributed to the maintenance of peaceful and stable environment in the historic waters of Vietnam and Cambodia.
On March 21, naval ship 251 of Zone 5 of the Vietnam People’s Navy to the joint patrol docked in the military port of Zone 5, concluding the 46th annual joint patrol with Royal Cambodian Navy.-VNA
