Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to enhance joint work in ethnic affairs via the exchange of delegations and personnel training.
At the talks in Phnom Penh on August 12, Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Ethnic Affairs Hoang Xuan Luong and Cambodian Minister of Cults and Religions Min Khin consented to ask relevant units to work out a detailed cooperation plan.
The two sides also agreed that a memorandum of understanding should be signed during Min Khin’s working visit to Vietnam next year.
At a reception for the Vietnamese delegation, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam On said the visit helps foster bilateral friendship and cooperation, especially among business communities.
During its August 11-17 working visit, the delegation also paid courtesy calls to the Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong, and the Supreme Patriarch Bour Kry, visited golden and silver pagodas in Phnom Penh./.
