Vietnam cheers China on 61st National Day

The Vietnamese Party, State, Government, and National Assembly leaders on Sept. 29 cabled congratulatory messages to their Chinese counterparts on the latter’s 61 st National Day.
The Vietnamese Party, State, Government, and National Assembly leaders on Sept. 29 cabled congratulatory messages to their Chinese counterparts on the latter’s 61 st National Day.

The senders included General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nong Duc Manh, State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong.

Messages went to General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and State President Hu Jintao, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Chinese National People’s Congress Wu Bangguo, and Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao.

The Vietnamese leaders highly valued the achievements made by the Chinese people over the past 61 years, especially in the recent 30 years of implementing reforms and an open-door policy.

They expressed their delight with the enrichment and important fruits of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership under agreed motto and guidance.

The leaders affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people always treasure their traditional friendship with the fraternal Chinese people and pledged to do their utmost to unceasingly strengthen mutual understanding and trust and deepen the bilateral cooperation and partnership.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem sent a congratulatory message to Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi./.
