Vietnam, China boost front collaboration

Hanoi (VNA) – The Chinese Party and State treasure friendship ties with Vietnam and want to boost practical exchanges and cooperation in various sectors with the country, said Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Yu made the remark during a reception in Beijing on September 26 for a delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee led by its Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh who have been on a working visit to China from September 22 to 27.

The official highlighted the cooperation between the CPPCC and the VFF in the recent past and briefed the Vietnamese guests on China’s development situation, including preparations for the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

For her part, Anh lauded the effective collaboration between the two bodies and suggested the sides increase delegation exchanges, engage in personnel training cooperation, and promote the friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese people.

The same day, the Vietnamese delegation held talks with a CPPCC delegation led by deputy chairman Ma Biao.

The two sides informed each other on their respective performances in organising forums that helped the public and experts to engage in political affairs and in assisting effective implementation of policies by the two parties and governments.

The discussions also focused on measures to boost cooperation between the two agencies at both central and local levels in the future.-VNA
