Vietnam, China discuss free navigation at Bac Luan river mouth

Vietnam and China held in Hanoi from April 22-25 the fifth round of negotiations on an agreement regarding free navigation at the Bac Luan river mouth, and the third round of negotiations on an agreement on cooperation in protecting and exploiting tourism resources in the Ban Gioc Waterfall vicinity between the two countries.

The Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry’s National BoundaryCommission and the Head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Department onBoundary and Ocean Affairs chaired the events.

Both sides discussed issues of mutual concern and reached a consensus on many draft contents of the two agreements.

They pledged to speed up the negotiations to discuss existingdifferences in opinions towards the signing of the agreements.

The two sides then signed the minutes of the meeting rounds.-VNA

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
