While highlighted the history of Vietnam-China relations, Nghia stated that the Vietnamese Party and State always consider strengthening relations with China a strategic choice and a top priority in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralisation, and diversification of international relations.

Vietnam-China friendship passed down to future generations

During Vietnam’s struggles for national independence and reunification, China provided significant support in the form of weapons, logistics, technical assistance, and personnel.
