Vietnam condemns terrorist acts in any form, Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Le Hai Binh has said in response to a school attack in the northern Pakistani city of Peshawar that left hundreds of people dead and injured on December 16.
The terrorist attack on civilians and children is barbarian and unacceptable, Binh said on December 17.
Vietnam conveys deep condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Pakistan, the families of victims and believes that the instigators will be punished appropriately soon, he said.
Also on December 17, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung cabled a message of condolences to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also extended his sympathy to advisor to Pakistani Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz.-VNA
