Top leaders of Vietnam on April 18 sent messages of congratulations to new leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), who were elected at the first session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly (SPA).

Hanoi (VNA) – Top leaders of Vietnam on April 18 sent messages ofcongratulations to new leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK), who were elected at the first session of the 14th SupremePeople's Assembly (SPA).

GeneralSecretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and PresidentNguyen Phu Trong extended his greetings to President of the Presidium of theSPA Choe Ryong Hae.

PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc cabled a message of congratulations to Premier of theCabinet Kim Jae Ryong.

Meanwhile,Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent a congratulatorymessage to Chairman of the SPA Pak Thae Song.

The sameday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also congratulatedMinister of Foreign Affairs Ri Yong Ho.

Earlier, PartyGeneral Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong also sent a message ofcongratulations to Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Jong Un on hisre-election as head of the State Affairs Commission.

Kim was elected again as Chairman of the State AffairsCommission at the first session of the 14th SPA held at the Mansudae AssemblyHall on April 11, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.-VNA
