Machado Ventura said the second theory seminar provided a good opportunity for the pair to learn from their respective valuable theoretical and practical experience drawn during the socialism-building course.
Tran Quoc Vuong, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, expressed Vietnam’s full support for Cuban people in weathering all difficulties and challenges to build a prosperous socialist society.
He presented an overview of Vietnam’s nearly-three-decade renewal cause, highlighting socio-political stability, people’s improved living standards, expanded external relations and an annual 7-percent economic growth rate.
Vuong also informed his host about the Communist Party of Vietnam’s preparations for its 12 th congress, slated for the first quarter of 2016.
On this occasion, the two sides also signed a cooperation agreement that looks to deepen cooperation and relations between the two parties.
On the day, the second theory seminar, which focused on the Party’s role in updating socio-economic models in Cuba and the “Doi moi” (renewal) process in Vietnam, concluded.
