The Vietnamese Party, State and people always attach great importance to the traditional special solidarity and friendship with Cuba and stand ready to work closely with the Cuban side to explore new and effective cooperation models that reflect the strengths and capabilities of both countries.
The two sides explored the possibility of establishing a shared digital archive centre to store publications, articles, historical photographs, and valuable press materials documenting the development of each country as well as bilateral relations.
Launched in 2002, the project covered four rice-growing regions across 11 Cuban provinces. In its 2024–2025 phase, yields of fresh unhusked rice averaged 5.8 tonnes per hectare, 2.5 times higher than the traditional local output and surpassing the project’s initial target of 5 tonnes.
