Vietnam fosters scientific cooperation with Russian locality

A virtual roundtable was held among representatives of scientific organisations in Russia’s Kuzbass region and Vietnam on May 26.

Moscow (VNA) – A virtualroundtable was held among representatives of scientific organisations in Russia’sKuzbass region and Vietnam on May 26.

The event formed part of the ASEAN-RussiaYear of Scientific and Technical Cooperation (ARYSTC) 2022.

In her opening speech, DeputyMinister of Science and Higher Education of Kuzbass Elena Malkina said the ARYSTC2022 will help delegates find common interests and define promising cooperationfields for mutual benefits, pledging that Kuzbass authorities willfacilitate the partnership.

Several cooperationagreements between Vietnam’s universities and institutes and Kuzbass’ scientific universitiesand centres were signed during the roundtable.

Dr Nguyen Quoc Hung, Directorof the Russian-Vietnamese Cooperation Development Fund "Tradition andFriendship" and an expert at the Institute of Economics under the RussianAcademy of Sciences, affirmed that there is huge cooperation prospect between Vietnameseand Russian localities, including Kuzbass, and urged bolstering local cooperation for the developmentof the countries’ traditional partnership./.

Network of overseas Vietnamese nuclear energy experts makes debut

The network currently brings together nearly 100 scientists and experts working at key institutions in this sector such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), EDF, Framatome, ANDRA, CEA, and many other leading organisations. They have directly participated in the design and construction of numerous EPR nuclear power plants, including Olkiluoto 3 (Finland), Flamanville 3 (France), and Taishan 1&2 (China).

NA adopts resolution in support of private sector

According to the resolution, each enterprise, household business, or individual business must not be inspected more than once a year, except in cases where clear signs of violations are found.
